Khalid Mahmood

As the CEO of Getz Pharma Pvt. Ltd. and Getz Pharma FZ-LLC, Mahmood has led the company from its inception, in 1995, to becoming the largest Pharmaceutical company in Pakistan. The company also holds leading positions and rankings in at least ten emerging pharma markets of the world. Getz Pharma is the only company in Pakistan whose manufacturing facility & Quality Control Laboratory has been Pre-qualified and approved by the World Health Organization, WHO Geneva, and PIC/S. Getz Pharma is the largest exporter and taxpayer in the Pharmaceutical sector of Pakistan. It employs 5,700 people in Pakistan and at its subsidiaries and scientific offices in over 25 countries in Asia Pacific, Africa, UAE, and Central Asia.

Khalid Mahmood is a 35-year veteran of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. He worked for over 14 years in progressively responsible positions in the Pharmaceutical and primary health care industry, in the US, South America, Far East, and the Asia Pacific before returning to his native Pakistan in 1993.

Khalid has an MBA in marketing from Rutgers University, New Jersey, and a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from California State University, Pomona, California, USA.

Khalid is currently engaged with various civic, cultural, and educational organizations. He served as the president of the board of directors of WWF Pakistan and was on its board for 6 years. He is currently on the board of Zindagi Trust, an NGO which manages and strives to reform govt. schools and carries out advocacy of policy reforms with the govt. He is on the board of Eqbal Ahmed Center for Education. He is Chairman of the BoTs of the award-winning civic organization PeaceNiche/T2F. Khalid has committed personal human and financial resources to campaigns & programs in sports, education, health care, cultural & environmental preservation. His passions are outdoor sports, mountain climbing, marine environmental preservation, open water scuba diving, and sailing
